職業barista們,今年首屆的亞洲杯歡迎你！
這項亞洲杯Barista競賽,目的是透過barista的精湛技術來製作好喝的精品咖啡,同時發揚屬於亞洲區的咖啡文化,想像一下,當您初到一家公司上班時,您如何在現有的材料與設備下,製作出美味的espresso、卡布、創意飲料？

以下是ABC大賽的官方說明：
【About ABC】

The Asia Barista Championship is an Asia competition that seeks to recognise baristas as a professional career in the region. It aims to cultivate the public interest in specialty coffee and foster the growth of the coffee culture in Asia.

This is the first time in Asia, a barista championship is held at an Asia level. ABC is open only to the individual reigning barista.

Objectives
1. To develop the growth, quality and recognition of the Barista profession in Asia.

2. Raising the bar of the Barista's knowledge, expertise and discipline in the preparation and serving of specialty coffee.

3. Instilling creativity and nurturing talent in signature drink creations.

4. Promoting appreciation and awareness of specialty coffee and the role of a barista in the specialty coffee industry.

5. To cultivate a closer relationship within the Barista profession in Asia as a gesture of goodwill.

其實和WBC 大致相同, 不過有一些地方不同, 在這和大家分享一下, 若有理解不一樣的地方也請大家回應一下

abc大賽的咖啡豆有指定, Coffeex的咖啡豆
飲料製作為Espresso, Cappuccino, 和 用Blender (果汁機, 冰沙機, 隨便你稱呼)製作的飲料一杯 blended Singature Drink 以下簡稱BSD

獎項: 最佳Espresso, 最佳Latte Art, 最佳BSD

每種飲料四杯, 每組飲料同時呈現, 製作時間15分鐘, Latte art 不必為相同圖形

BSD 必須要由blender 製作, 冷熱皆可, 不可加酒, 加入至少一份espresso,請使用大會提供之糖漿醬料(達文西), 肉桂, 薑片等原物料不在此限 (我看到好像如此)

咖啡機 La Mazocco GB5 -3 孔機
磨豆機 Mahlkonig 型號未定
糖漿 醬料 Da Vinci Gourmet
Blender Hamilton Beach

這項比賽還真的是比技術,因為規定所有選手都必須使用大會提供的設備與物料,這其實蠻像職業Barista的工作情況,尤其當你初到一個新的工作地點時,一切都還不熟悉,而你必須要在最短的時間內,製作出最好的飲料品質,來爭取顧客的心,如果你能很快運用自己的技術調煮出很棒的飲料,那自然表示你是一個技術甚佳的barista囉！

   關於大會規定的設備與物料,george所提的是ABC 新加坡比賽的規定,各國(NB)應該會有部份調整.
